Socratic Seminar; global warming
Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth's climate. For this seminar we discussed the topic. We individual had to bring 5 pieces of arguments/evidence for or against it. I brought my evidence/arguments for it. I got said evidence/arguments from http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php. The 5 pints I choose were, 2, 5, 9, 10, and 11. All evidence with the argument is given when you open the " what the science says." To be clear I do believe in global warming and I am stating the arguments I got my evidence for it from.
This was a very informative and educational seminar. I very much enjoyed participating in it. I really loved how I learned new things I would have never thought of. For example, we are not a big contributor to global warming, we are sort of just speeding up the process. I also rally liked how this was a subject that I was comfortable discussing with other people. There was nothing that I did not dislike about the seminar. I have gained new and insightful information on the subject.
